Heidi is our registered manager and daily inspiration to drive Good Companions forward. Heidi has over 20 years experience in the care industry specialising in Dementia, Alzheimers and Parkinson care.

After experiencing first hand the challenge of caring for a loved one at home, she created Good Companions as she felt so passionate about supporting others who may be struggling out there.

From starting out solo, Heidi now has a team of regular and bank staff working alongside her to provide care and companionship services to the good people of Spalding.

Heidi is currently studying for an HND in health and social care management.

Betty has many years of experience working within the care industry in a wide range of roles and she joined Good Companions as Care Co-ordinator and has now been promoted to Operations manager.

Betty oversees the daily running of Good Companions, she has a keen eye for detail and is working towards her HND in Health and social care management.

With over 5 years in the care industry I love the job today as much as I did when I first started. I love working with wonderful, interesting people that I met through my job, it makes me happy that I can make someone’s day a little easier and sometimes less lonely.

Outside of work I enjoy the great outdoors, going away in our motorhome in all seasons and spending time with my family.

I have over 16 years of care experience and I’ve been with Good Companions for over 2 years. I joined as a personal assistant, and I’ve built strong relationships with our clients over that time. Jenny has had such a successful journey with Good Companions she was recently promoted to Care Champion. I love every part of my job from supporting the amazing clients we look after to supporting the rest of the team in my role as care champion. I look forward to celebrating my 3-year anniversary with Good Companions very soon.

I have been working in the care setting for about 5 years. I have worked in many roles including care assistant, laundry assistant, domestic assistant and kitchen assistant. I love my job because it feels like I’m going to visit my relatives in their homes and help them out and I love chatting with them. By the end of the day, it feels like I’ve done something good and it’s very rewarding.

I have been working for 6 months as a care worker. I have chosen this job role because I like being with people, listening to their stories, and helping them.

I joined Good Companions in May 2024. This is the first time I have been in the care industry. One of the reasons that I joined care is that I felt I had more to give and what better way than to pay it back into the community. It’s very rewarding.

I’ve been working in care for over 6 years. Previously, I had worked with children as a nanny and in a playgroup and a nursery. I joined Good Companions in March 2024 and it’s been such a good decision as this company seem to care about their staff and we are not just a number on a tick box we are made to feel valued by management and the clients. I look forward to work each day which is a great feeling. All the other carer’s are fantastic and work as a team making it a great place to work.

I have worked in home care for many years, prior to that in residential and nursing homes. I've always believed that my clients deserved first-rate care along with high standards which is why the move to Good Companions is great for me and the Good Companions team.

I have been in care since March 2018. I joined care as I wanted a career change and I haven’t looked back since. I am so passionate about my job, I love to know I have made even a tiny difference to someone’s day. Since joining Good Companions I have never been happier, we are all like one big family.

With over 30 years of experience in the care sector, my journey began in nursing homes, continued through hospital settings, and now flourishes in the community. Throughout this time, my mission has remained the same: to provide compassionate, high-quality care that empowers individuals to live independently and confidently in their own homes.

I am deeply passionate about my work and driven by a "can-do" attitude that brings out the best in the people I support. Every day, I go home with a smile, knowing I’ve made a difference.

My experience spans a wide range of needs, including palliative care, dementia, end-of-life support, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s, and more. I believe the key to exceptional care is teamwork, and I’m proud to work alongside dedicated professionals who share my commitment to excellence.

I have worked in care for over 12 years including elderly, dementia and senior support worker for adults with learning disabilities. I cared for my own mum as she became end of life and felt it was the ultimate privilege. I am a genuinely caring person with a happy personality and thrive on thinking I may have made someone else’s day a little brighter. I’ve only been with Good Companions for 6 weeks so far, but I’m so pleased I made the move to such a lovely company. 

I have worked in the care industry for 26yrs and have always enjoyed caring and supporting people, I have worked with people with Dementia and Alzheimers, learning difficulties, challenging behaviours and people with mental health. I have also worked in hospitals and care homes within a senior role. Working with Good-Companions has given me a different view on care, giving people the choice to stay in their own homes and giving them the best care and support for them and their families.

I have been in care for the last 5 years after a career change following Covid. I had been in secondary school education for most of my working life. I enjoy making a difference to somebody's life and cheering them up and making them feel better about themselves. In my spare time, I enjoy taking the dog for a walk or going on a bike ride, exploring when away in our motorhome.
